Blue lily (or Blue Lotus) is a native plant from the Nile delta in Egypt. There are written records of the use of Blue Lotus by ancient Egyptians for medicinal and recreational purposes (usually a wine with inebriating effects was made with the flowers). Blue lotus was also used in ritual ceremonies to reach higher levels of consciousness. The flowers were used by women as ornaments and decoration of ceremonial places.

Nowadays Blue lotus is used as a stress reliever, as a remedy to help with erectile disfunction and as a recreational herb, due to its psychedelic effects, that at higher doses can even open the doors of perception from closed eyes visuals to changes in thoughts and mental processes.

Effects

Stimulation and sexual arousal. Feelings of euphoria and narcotic effects can be felt simultaneously. Smooth psychedelic effects, that at higher doses can even induce hallucinations.

Dosage

To make tea, 2 grams of blue lilly per person is enough. If you want stronger effects you can use up to 5 grams per person for the tea. The same amount should be soaked in wine if you want to make the traditional Egyptian wine. Do not exceed the recommended dosage, otherwise it will be extra bitter and hard to drink.

Usage

Tea can be made by soaking the herbs in hot water. To make the traditional wine made in ancient Egypt, the blue lotus should be soaked in wine for several hours. The wine will be strong with a bitter taste.
