Also nicknamed wavy capped mushroom due to its wavy form cap in mature specimens the Psilocybe cyanescens is one of the most popular psychoactive fungi. It bruises with a bluish or blue-green color, often still visible on dried stipe. It is a potent hallucinogen that grows abundantly in flowerbeds mulched with bark mulch, wood shavings or sawdust, originally found in the Pacific Northwest of the US. The mycelium is quite hardy and once the bed is established and colonized it survives very low temperatures. Just to be sure you can cover the bed with a fresh layer of chips, straw or cardboard before winter. In the wild there is the danger is mistaking a deadly Galerina or a deadly Conocybe for a Psilocybe cyannescens. So, be very carefull if you decide to go mushroom hunting!! Effects
You can begin anytime of the year. If you plant the bed outdoors later than spring, it can happen that won't fruit this year, but if you add some fresh wood material in the spring next year, it will fruit for sure!!! Better to start anytime that later in the spring! Produces 2-3 flushes of mushrooms every season and the harvest increases year after year! Usage
